Iedereen slaapt wel eens slecht. Dit heeft niet direct gevolgen voor de gezondheid. Maar als je langere tijd slecht slaapt neemt de vermoeidheid toe en ervaar je steeds meer beperkingen in je functioneren. Je voelt je dan niet uitgerust en merkt bijvoorbeeld dat je moeite hebt om je te concentreren. Op dit moment is het een steeds voorkomender probleem aan het worden, 10% van de Nederlanders ervaart dit volgens Fonds Psychische Gezondheid.

Slaapproblemen zijn bijvoorbeeld:

  • Moeite met inslapen
  • Regelmatig wakker worden uit de slaap
  • Moeite om ’s nachts weer in te slapen na het wakker worden
  • Vroeg wakker worden en dan niet meer kunnen slapen
  • Niet voldoende uitgerust zijn na de slaap
  • Overmatige slaperigheid en moeheid overdag.
